Pauline Grys holds a MA in Economics and Sinology and a PhD in Public Health from Heidelberg University. Her primary research interests focus on disease surveillance and control, human resources for health and postgraduate training and education in global health.
Pauline currently works as Teaching Coordinator at the Institute of Public Health at Heidelberg University, supervising its post-graduate teaching and training programs in International Health. Promoting internationalization of Higher Education Pauline is team leader of several international cooperation activities and projects aiming at quality assurance and improvement of global health teaching and research in various countries. In this context, she was developing and facilitating multiple courses and trainings in Europe, Africa, Central Asia and South-East Asia. Pauline is also coordinating a program offering global health related courses to medical students from low and middle income countries in Germany. Since 2014 Pauline is member of the TropEd network Executive Committee.
